Frontier Days 2019 Parade Winners

Kicking off the Frontier Days events is the parade. Taking place first thing Saturday morning at around 10 a.m. the parade draws in many Timpson residents and even visitors from other towns to witness the extravagant display of floats and fancy vehicles. This year's parade even had some unconventional vehicles such as zero-turn lawn mowers and farm tractors, driving side by side with classic muscle cars and children on decorated bicycles. A critical part of the parade is the contest associated with it. This year the East Texas Press  took first place with their Cowboy of the Year modified truck float. The Timpson Varsity Cheerleaders earned the second place with their decorated 4X4 Ranger, and last but not least, the Woodland Christian Church won the third place with their trailer float promoting their Vacation Bible School
