Charlotte Broadway, retiring after 35 years, honored with Retirement Reception

Charlotte Broadway, who has worked for the City of Timpson for 35 years, was honored with a reception after the Timpson City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Mayor Debra Pate Smith presented Mrs. Broadway with a crystal-like plaque which commemorated those 35 years of service.

Special guests, besides City Staff and the Timpson City Council, included Mrs. Broadway’s children, Christi Smith (Mrs. Calvin) and Tracy Broadway with his wife, one granddaughter, one of her twin grandsons, and one beautiful and happy great-granddaughter, Brighton Cait Cochran (daughter of  Caitlyn Smith Cochran and Andrew Cochran) who was a hit with everyone.

Guests were served slices of the lovely strawberry cake and pineapple punch. For those resisting sweets, there was a delicious pecan-covered cheese ball, crackers, and an assortment of fruit to enjoy.

Congratulations on your retirement, Mrs. Broadway. We are happy for you, but you will be missed!
