  Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We really do have a lot to be thankful for. Most the time we don't realize how much. It was another rainy Sunday morning but we had a crowd anyway. 
   We only had one birthday celebrated this week, that was one by Scooter Hughes. No anniversaries.

Community Luncheon with speaker Representative Chris Paddie

Tuesday, December 1 2015 at The Windam Civic Center, Center Texas

 

The Center Noon Lions, the Center Rotary Club and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce presented a Legislative update given by State Representative Chris Paddie and presented The 2015 Moosberg Awards during a Community Luncheon.

 

Attendees and guests enjoyed a lunch that was prepared by Darrell's BBQ.

    It was a chilly Sunday morning but that didn't people from coming to church. Some of the sick folks were back, and we had a few visitors.
    Our birthday people this week were: Kristi Angelo, Kason Brooks, Devin Lampley, Shelby Eubanks and Elaine Peddy.

Golden Harvest Ministries Club Nov. meeting

At their November 16 meeting, members of the Golden Harvest Ministries Club collected toys and made monetary donations for the Children's Advocacy Center which serves Shelby and San Augustine Counties.  Executive Director Denise Merriman, Family Advocate Marcia Jackson, and Shelby County Assistant DA Steven Shires, gave updates on Texas statistics for child abuse, discussed services provided by the Center, made members aware of signs of child abuse, and gave the goal of the Advocacy Center.

Tenaha ISD Honors All Veterans

 

The Tenaha ISD Junior High and High School Beta Club presented the annual Veterans Day Program on Nov 11th.   The students presented a brief history of the wars America has fought.  The students also set up an Honor Table to symbolize the veterans who did not return home from duty.
