Tigers fall late to Guardsmen

A 1-yard touchdown by Brook Hill's quarterback Jordan McGowen , and a crucial extra point kick by Calieb Chadwell, was enough for the BHHS Guards to steal a 33-32 win over the hometown Tenaha Tigers last Friday night.
The Guard trailed 32-19 late but scored two touchdowns in the final 2:27 of the contest.
 The Tigers lost in the last minute last week as well to Joaquin by a 38-35 score, and the Tigers now fall to 0-2 on the season.

Tigers fighting to keep winning ways

The Tenaha Tigers have expectations set high for them in 2015. THS has made it to the state semifinal round of the UIL football playoff for the past four consecutive years. In 2011 the Tigers took home the Class 1A Division II title, went back to the title game but fell short in 2012, and went back to the semifinal round in 2013 and 2014, losing to Bremond last year by a narrow 32-29 score and finishing their season with an 11-2 record.

Tenaha City Council meets for August agenda

The Tenaha City Council met for a regular meeting on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Tenaha Municipal Building. Mayor Orinthia Johnson called the meeting to order and welcomed the guests. Councilmen Michael Baker and Durand Steadman were not present at the meeting. There were no public comments.

The Council unanimously approved the minutes from the last meeting and the July Financial statements.
