2nd Grade Field Trip to Sci-Port

On Thursday, April 30th the 2nd grade classes from Tenaha traveled to Shreveport and spent the day at Sci-Port. Sci-Port is a hands-on Science museum. Students participated in two classes. In the class Animal Defenses students discovered how animal adaptations help them survive. In the class Ooey Gooey Gloop students used inquiry skills to create a polymer that they brought home. Students also explored the many hands-on exhibits, ate lunch, and visited the gift shop. We had a great time and learned a lot! 2nd Grade teachers are Mrs. Nina Vick and Mrs. Stacie Barr. We would like to say thank you to our bus driver and chaperones Mr. David Sims, Mrs. Reanna Lovett, and Mrs. Cindy Hughes.

Senior Celebration Invitation

Seniors RSVP before May 11th to attend. Email, to confirm your attendance.

The Tenaha community is invited for a “Night at the Movies Extravaganza” to night, May 7th at 6 pm in the SEC.

Students from all grade levels will perform songs from the movies.  Band music will fill the venue from all four Tigerland bands along with Kindergarten Graduation and Tenaha’s own unique 8th Grade Completion tradition.

Don’t forget to arrive early for another Tiger tradition … Tiger Café.   Cajun fried catfish, French fries, coleslaw, tea and a special dessert will be served that evening beginning at 5 pm.  Cost is only $7 per plate.  All proceeds from the Tiger Café go to the girls’ basketball program to assist with the costs of summer camp.
