City of Tenaha designates Grant Works for CDBG planning

 

The City of Tenaha adopted a resolution designating Grant Works as a planning service provider for the 2019 Texas Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Planning and Capacity Building Fund application and project implementation. This took place at the regular monthly meeting of the Tenaha City Council at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Other agenda action items approved were:

The Minutes of the October meeting;                                                                                                                                      

Financials for the month of October (more detail below);

Proposal to hold no regular meeting in December; and

Adding Pineywoods Sanitation Survey to next month’s water bill.

The October Financials showed the following figures: General Account – Beginning Balance of $236,791.12 and  Ending Balance of $229,236.83; Fines Account – Beginning Balance of $38,192.77 and Ending Balance of $23,648.70; Rainy Day Funds Account - $16,000 and Ending Balance of $22,000.00; Fire Account – Beginning Balance of $2,028.04 and Ending Balance of $2,074.35; Water Account – Beginning Balance of $3,807.31 and Ending Balance of $2,603.40; Water Deposits Account – Beginning Balance of $33,369.35 and Ending Balance of $33,939.32; and Wastewater Account – Beginning Balance of $6,335.07 and Ending Balance of $5,817.45.

Announcements: The Tenaha Businessmen’s Club will hold its annual Christmas Banquet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the Tenaha ISD Cafetorium; Tenaha Together will sponsor a Christmas Parade on December 13, 2018, beginning at 6 p.m. in downtown Tenaha.

Again, there will be no December meeting for the Tenaha City Council.
