Lady Bobcats sweep Lady Bears

The Gary Lady Bobcats Volleyball team played theTimpson Lady Bear last Tuesday at home.
Gary came out on top 3-0 over Timpson with the scores being, 25-17, 25-8,  and 25-19.
Leann Youngblood led  the Lady Bobcats with nine kills and three aces.
GHS is now 1-1 in district competition. They next play Shelbyville on Friday in Shelbyville at 3:30 due to their homecoming festivities.

Bears suffer third loss, now 0-3

The Timpson Bears varsity football team went on the road last Friday in search of their first win of the season. The Bears faced the 2-0 Beckville Bearcats at Bearcats Stadium and eventually fell by a 42-13 score which moved Timpson’s record to 0-3. The Bearcats now stand at 3-0 on the year.

Garrison falls to Center

Four fumbles and an interception cost coach Lance Bernard’s Garrison Bulldog football team dearly last Friday as they fell 33-10 at home to the Center Roughriders. The ‘Riders record has now improved to 2-1, after two straight wins, while Garrison falls to 1-2 on the season.
Junior quarterback Kyle Parks found Octavius Evans for a 46-yard touchdown score with less than four minutes left in the first period to help give Center a 7-0 lead.
