Tigers get stung by Yellowjackets

The Tenaha Tigers have now fallen to 0-4 after a tough 52-7 road loss to the (5-0) Alto Yellowjackets, at Alto High School, last Friday night.
Tenaha’s lone score came on quarterback C.J. Horn’s 8-yard pass to Trai Gardner in the second quarter.
Tenaha (0-4) had 143 yards passing and minus two yards rushing.
Colton Goeke caught three passes for 101 yards for
the Tigers.

Garrison beats Marlin 35-12

Last Saturday, the Garrison Bulldogs varsity football team headed to Palestine High School where they defeated the Marlin Bulldogs by a 35-12 score.
Garrison trailed 6-12 at the end of the first quarter but tied the game at 12-12 by halftime. Neither team scored in the third period but the Garrison squad blew the game wide open with 23 unanswered ponts in the final period.

Gary volleyball competes at Carlisle

The Gary Lady Bobcats volleyball team went 1-3 in their matchwith the Carlisle Lady Indians, at Carlisle,  on Friday September 25. The match scores were: 25-19, 30-28, 14-25, 25-17.
Leann Youngblood led with 11 kills, 3 aces and 8 digs. Sydney followed with 6 kills, 3 aces and 5 digs.
We are now 3-2 in District. We have a bye on Tuesday and play Overton Friday Oct. 2 at home.
