Center wins lopsided affair over Rains

 
The Center Roughriders football team won a lopsided Class 4A varsity Bi-District playoff over the Emory Rains Wildcats by a 51-14 score, at Longview’s Pine Tree High School.
Octavius Evans got Center on the scoreboard first with a 46-yard touchdown reception with 7:17 left in the first quarter. Teammate Sayoddrick Barnes scored again for Center with a twisting run for a touchdown at the end of the first period.

Garrison ends season with 5-6 mark

After a hard fought game at Palestine High School last Friday, the Franklin Lions varsity football team are now the District 11 3A bi-district champs after defeating the Garrison Bulldogs by a score of 45-21. They will now move on to the Area playoff round and face the Clifton Cubs. Franklin boosted their season record to 11-0.

Bears closed out by Iola Bulldogs

The Timpson Bears varsity football team ended their 2015 season with a 27-0 Bi-district loss to the Iola Bulldogs at Palestine last Thursday.
Iola intercepted a Bears’ pass in the first period which set up a 33-yard touchdown completion which gave the Bulldogs an early 7-0 with 10:32 remaining in the frame.
