Tigers fall late to Guardsmen

A 1-yard touchdown by Brook Hill's quarterback Jordan McGowen , and a crucial extra point kick by Calieb Chadwell, was enough for the BHHS Guards to steal a 33-32 win over the hometown Tenaha Tigers last Friday night.
The Guard trailed 32-19 late but scored two touchdowns in the final 2:27 of the contest.
 The Tigers lost in the last minute last week as well to Joaquin by a 38-35 score, and the Tigers now fall to 0-2 on the season.

Eagles wear down Rams 35-22

Woodville- The Joaquin Rams found out that they still have some work to do to realize their goals of playing playoff football in 2015. Despite a strong effort, the Rams were defeated by the Woodville Eagles here at Eagle Stadium by a final score of 35-22 Friday night. The turnover bug bit the Rams again, and the growing pains of learning a new offense and a new defense are something that will likely only be solved with experience under the “Friday Night Lights.”

Dragons hold off Bulldogs comeback

The Garrison Bulldogs varsity football team found themselves trailing at halftime for the second straight week , last Friday, after the Shelbyville Dragons gained a 14-0 lead by the midway intermission at Bulldogs Stadium. Octavian Burrell capped the Dragon’s first two drives with scoring runs from 3-yards and 16-yards out.
