Friday night’s “pink out” game was played at home resulting in a much anticipated win for the Bears over Harleton.  The Bear players and cheerleaders were sporting the color pink at the game in support of cancer awareness.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many people are aware but forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages.  Timpson students, players and staff encourage everyone to get informed and to get tested.

After winning the toss, the Bears chose to defer.  In the first quarter, the Bears offense was no match for the Wildcats and QB Jon Grogan connected with Tre Kegler, making the score 6-0 with a failed two point conversion attempt.  Then, with a touchdown run by Jordan Osby scoring six and a QB keeper for two, Timpson was up 14-0.  After a Bears fumble, the Wildcats recovered but the defense stopped the drive and Timpson took back over on downs.

With 1:56 left in the second quarter, Jordan Osby ran for 80 yards to score and Shykeem Washington was good for two points leaving the score 22-0 at halftime.

Jordan Osby did not return to play after the half.

In third quarter action, the Bears were plagued by penalties and a blocked punt left the Wildcats on their own 23 yard line, however, the Bears defense stopped the drive and took over possession.  Timpson was unable to find the end zone and the score remained 22-0.

The action picked up in the fourth quarter when an interception by Cam Foster on the Wildcats 19, lead to an 86 yard gain into Bear territory.  Jon Grogan with a QB keeper scored from the 6, but the touchdown was called back for a penalty.  Then, with a handoff to Braden Courtney, Timpson was on the board again. The two point conversion failed which left the score 28-0.  The Wildcats, with 28 seconds remaining in the game, were in position to score when Brayden Courtney recovered a fumble.  The Bears kneeled……final score was a shutout, 28-0.

Timpson will take on the Garrison Bulldogs in Garrison this Friday, October 12th at 7:30pm.  Everyone come out and support the Bears.
