Chandler Burgay's big day not enough, as the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity lose 11-5 to Mt. Enterprise (TX)

Chandler Burgay did his best to will the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity to a win with a two-hit game, but the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity dropped a 11-5 contest to Mt. Enterprise on Monday.

Three of the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Burgay. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Shannon recorded the win for Mt. Enterprise even though he allowed five runs over seven innings. He struck out 14, walked none and surrendered seven hits.

Mt. Enterprise 's Parham, Hamett and Whatley combined for five hits and four RBIs.

Mt. Enterprise increased its lead with four runs in the fourth. A error scored Jones to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up with a steal of home by Hamett.

A one-run fourth inning helped bring the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity within eight. An RBI single by Hunter Smith sparked the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity's rally. Finally, Shannon induced an inning-ending strike out from Brandon Addison.

Four runs in the bottom of the fifth helped the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity close their deficit to 9-5. A three-run home run by Burgay and a solo home run by Smith set off the Timpson Timpson Bears Varsity rally. Finally, Shannon got Cutter Smith to ground out to end the threat.
