Tigers Miss Playoffs But Defeat Linden-Kildare 39-6


 For the first time since 2005 the Tenaha Tigers will not be in the Texas High School playoffs. The Tigers needed to win and have Timpson lose to Beckville. The Bears defeated the Bearcats to secure the 3rd seed.
      The Tigers won the toss and elected to defer to the 2nd half. Neither team good get their offense going in the 1st quarter as it ended 0-0.
 The Tigers scored their first touchdown with 6:04 left in the 2nd quarter on a 2 yard run by Devon Wiley and led 7-0. The Tigers would score again with :10 left in the half on a 30 yard run by Michael Hogg and go into halftime leading 14-0.
 The Tigers would score again on a 10 yard run by Wiley with 8:05 left in the 3rd quarter and up their lead 20-0.  Wiley would score his 3rd touchdown of the night on a 11 yard run and the Tigers would lead 27-0 with 11:53 left in the 4th quarter. LK Wouk day get on the board with 11:27 left in the 4th quarter in a 22 yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Tyson.
      With 6:40 left Markee Rasberry would score on a 44 yard run and the Tigers would up their lead to 33-6. The Tigers final touchdown would come on a 90 yard interception return by CJ Mays to bring the final score to 39-6.
  With the playoffs starting Friday this is how the bi-district playoffs will line up.
Harleton will take on Deweyvile, Joaquin will take on Shelbyville, Timpson will take on Groveton and San Augustine will take on Garrison.
