Andy Marquez wins the Garrison High School bass team's monthly flipping/pitching contest

The Garrison high school bass team has had an ongoing monthly flipping/pitching contest through this school year. This month's meeting was the final competition for the contest and Andy Marquez won the event. Andy received a new Carrot Stix rod for his win. Andy also sold the most raffle tickets for a drawing for a new rod and reel valued at $400 and this awarded Andy a second Carrot Stix rod. The winner of the raffle was one that Andy had sold the ticket to and this individual had agreed if drawn that Andy would receive the new rod and reel combo instead. A big congratulations to Andy on his clean sweep! Andy started the year not knowing how to perform a flip or pitch type cast so this is quite an accomplishment!
