Coach Horn said after the game he was really happy with the way the kids played. Mentally we played well against the trick plays and formation they tried. We need to clean up some tackling and pursuit issues and play more disciplined presnap, eliminate the false starts and offsides and I think those are unacceptable. A great effort by the kids, what a tremendous group of young men, they came to work all week and thoroughly prepared themselves to perform and they did. I love these kids, they have passion and a tremendous work ethic. Truly young men of the highest caliber. When you have that combined with the talent you have something special.
The Tigers will now travel to Bryan to take on Iola a 28-6 winner over Cumby. Game time will be 1:00 PM. The Tigers have play Iola twice the last time in 2014 when the Tigers won 35-28 and in 1998 when the Tigers knocked off Iola 34-0 in rout to the State Championship.
Coach Horn had this to say about Iola, they will present a new challenge as they run the slot t and a good team built on playing great defense. I expect a tough ball game but the kids will work hard during the holidays and prepare themselves. The winner of the Tenaha- Iola game will take on the winner of the Bremond-Maud game for the Regional Championship next week.
