UPDATE: parents of 2 year old Kaisin Sheppard, who died under suspicious circumstances on March 15th have surrendered

The parents of 2 year old Kaisin Sheppard, who died under suspicious circumstances on March 15th have surrendered to Panola County law enforcement officials. Braylyn Sheppard and Brianna Jones, both of Beckville, turned themselves into the Panola County Criminal District Attorney's office this morning.

Panola County Sheriff's investigators took custody of the pair and placed them under arrest on warrants for Injury To A Child. Sheppard and Jones have been on the run since the warrants were issued on March 19th and investigators have been checking on leads as to the location of the pair. Those leads sent investigators to numerous locations around the East Texas area in an attempt to apprehend them. Sheppard and Jones were transported to the Panola County Detention Center where their bonds were set at $150,000 each and a conditional bond regarding other children in the family.
