Sheriff Lake's Weekly Radio Report - 12/29/2017 - 1/4/2018

                                                                                    RADIO REPORT

 

 

FRIDAY

12/29/17       Deputy Richard Mojica was dispatched to a residence on CR 3032 in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival Deputy Mojica met with the complainant who stated that his sister assaulted him. Complainant advised that his sister was yelling and cussing at him and became violent. Complainant stated that his sister punched him in the nose and then attempted to throw an electric heater at him.  Deputy Mojica made contact with the suspect and placed her under arrest for assault/family violence. The suspect was then transported to the Panola County Detention Center.

 

                       

SATURDAY

12/30/17       Deputy Timothy Windham initiated a traffic stop on a truck for an equipment violation. Deputy Windham then made contact with the male driver who advised that his driver’s license had been suspended. A record check through dispatch revealed that the registration on the truck belonged to a different vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest for displaying fictitious registration and driving while license suspended. The subject was transported to the Panola County Detention Center.

 

 

SUNDAY

12/31/17       Deputy Richard Mojica initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a lane violation. Deputy Mojica approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver. While speaking with the driver, Deputy Mojica ran the license plate through dispatch. A record check revealed that the license plate returned to a different vehicle. Deputy Mojica asked the driver about the license plate and the driver advised that he removed the plates and the sticker from his girlfriend's vehicle and put them on his vehicle so that he could come to Carthage and pick up his ex-girlfriend.  The subject was placed under arrest for displaying fictitious registration and transported to the Panola County Detention Center.

 

MONDAY

Deputy Jeremy Nagle responded to PR 7016 in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival Deputy Nagle met with the complainant who stated that unknown actor(s) removed the chain link gate from the hinges and dragged it into the weeds. Complainant advised that the actor(s) then broke the glass out of the meter box and broke a solar panel. This case is being investigated.

 

                        Deputy Phillip Grimes took a report of a burglary that occurred. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) broke the glass out of his back door to gain entry. Complainant advised that once inside, the actor(s) stole a new electric stove. This case is under investigation.

 

                       

TUESDAY

1/2/18           Deputy Jeff Martin responded to a residence on CR 407 regarding a burglary of a vehicle that had already occurred.  Upon arrival Deputy Martin made contact with complainant who stated unknown person(s) had entered two vehicles on her property and taken items.  Complainant advised that her husband’s vehicle had been gone through and a Taurus 1911 .45 pistol with crimson trace grips had been stolen.  Complainant also stated that her son’s vehicle had been gone through and his Swiss gear backpack containing his MacBook Air Pro Laptop along with his TomTom GPS had been stolen. This case is being investigated.

 

Deputy Jeff Martin took a report of burglary of a vehicle on CR 407. Complainant stated when he got in his work truck this morning he noticed everything had been gone through, but nothing was taken.  Complainant stated his wife noticed her car had also been gone through.  The only thing missing from her car was her purse, which had been emptied on the floor.  Complainant stated nothing else was missing from his property. This case is under investigation.

                       

 

 

WEDNESDAY

1/3/18           Deputy Travis Curry responded to a residence on County Road 302 in reference to a report of terroristic threat. Upon arrival Deputy Curry met with the complainant who stated that a male subject had been trying to contact her by Facebook Messenger. Complainant advised that once she answered they got into a verbal argument. Complainant stated that the male subject threatened to come to Carthage and physically harm her and her family. All information will be forwarded to the DA’s office.

 

                        Deputy Robert Duncan took a report of theft that occurred in the Beckville area. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) stole his Miller Welder from his service truck. This case is under investigation.

 

                       

Deputy Constable Charlie Blue took a report of theft that occurred on CR 3391. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto his property and stole his gasoline powered weed eater. The weed eater has been entered into TCIC/NCIC as stolen.
