Sheriff's Activity in Garrison: April 3, 2018 - April 9, 2018

On Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 8:49 a.m., Constable Smith served civil process at 511 W. Cedar Street in Garrison. The constable served citation cause #E00641 at this address by means of alt service to a Stanley Oliphant. The officer mailed a true copy of this citation to the same address on April 3, 2018.


At 4:20 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 9900 block of FM 1087 in reference to a tree blocking the roadway.  The deputy provided traffic control until the roadway was cleared.


On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at approximately 5:18 p.m., the deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of FM 2476 in reference to the burglary of a building. Upon arrival, the deputy was advised that several items were missing from a storage building.


On Thursday 4/4/18 AT 9:14 p.m., the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 300 block of Willow Street in reference to a 911 hang up. Upon arrival, contact was made with the home owner who advised they have been having problems with the phone line.


On Saturday, April 6, 2018 at approximately 9:10 a.m., NCSO deputies were dispatched to the law enforcement center in regard to a theft of an automobile. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that an unknown subject took her vehicle without her consent.


On Saturday, April 6, 2018 at approximately 2:59 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of E Henning Road in reference to a criminal trespass complaint. While en route, the deputy was disregarded per the complainant. The subject left the scene.


On Saturday, April 6, 2018 at approximately 5:40 p.m., NCSO deputies responded to an assault call at the 2300 block of N FM 95 in Garrison. Upon arrival, deputies learned from the caller that her ex-husband struck her on the face causing visible injuries. Deputies were able to locate the suspect, who had fled the scene. The suspect was charged with a family violence charge, along with other outstanding warrants of arrest.


On Sunday, April 7, 2018 at 6:20 p.m., NCSO deputies responded to a disturbance call at the 700 block of Project Road in Garrison. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the caller, who advised an unknown female came onto her property and began yelling at her. The caller was not able to identify the female suspect and only wanted the issue documented.


On Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:50 a.m., a NCSO deputy was dispatched to the 3700 block of CR 271 in reference to a stalled vehicle. The roadway was flooded, and a vehicle attempted to cross the roadway which then flooded out his vehicle. The roadway was closed by Road & Bridge and the vehicle owner will return at a later time to take possession of his vehicle.


On Saturday, April 7, 2018 at approximately 7:49 p.m., a deputy provided traffic control on CR 271 until a stalled vehicle had been removed by a rotation wrecker.


On Monday, April 9, 2018 at 10:51 a.m., the sheriff's office responded to an animal problem by public service. The caller had questions about an aggressive dog in the neighborhood along the 200 block of CR 162.


On Monday, April 9, 2018 at 6:08 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a terroristic threat call via phone in the 2700 block of FM 2609.  The complainant advised that a known subject threatened him. The complainant advised that he would come to the NLEC to file the report at a later date.
