Sheriff's Activity in Garrison: 5/21/18 - 5/28/18

On Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:21 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft call in the NCSO lobby. A deputy took a report of theft of batteries from an oil well site in the 1700 block of CR 166.  The deputy took information for a report and returned to service.

 

On Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:51 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of CR 1571 in reference to a residential alarm. A deputy arrived and found an unsecured door to an out building on the property. The deputy found the door was locked but ajar. No forced entry was observed. A key holder was not available at the time of call.

 

On Monday, May 21, 2018 at 7:56 p.m., deputies responded to the 1800 block of 59 N in Garrison for loose livestock. Upon arrival, it was determined a loose cow was already back in the pasture.

 

On Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 4:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 3200 block of FM 2609 to a residential alarm on FM 2609. A deputy found the residence to be secure and returned to service.

 

On Thursday, May 24, 2018 at approximately 7:11 p.m., a deputy performed foot patrol at Garrison ISD.  No further action taken.

 

On Friday, May 25, 2018 at approximately 10:25 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a 911

hang up near the 4400 block of CR 153. Upon arrival, deputies learned that a verbal disturbance had occurred.  The parties were separated.

 

ON Friday, May 25, 2018 at APPROXIMATELY 11:37 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of US Hwy 59 North in reference to possible threatening. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with all parties and took information for a report. See report for details.

 

ON Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2:29 p.m., NCSO deputies were dispatched to US Hwy 59 North and FM 2476 in regards to a reckless driver.  Deputies attempted to located the suspect vehicle but were unable to located said vehicle. No further action taken.

 

On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at approximately 6:00 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of US Hwy 59 North in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated that the alarm activation was accidental.

 

On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at approximately 9:04 a.m., a  deputy was dispatched to the 1700 block of CR 292 in reference to a complainant requesting assistance. Upon arrival, this deputy contacted the complainant who advised that she had been involved in a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, who was no longer on scene.  The complainant wished for this deputy to give her a courtesy transport to another location. The subject was transported to that location without incident.

 

On Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 8:29 p.m., NCSO deputies responded to a report of counterfeit money being located on CR 283. Deputies collected the counterfeit currency and took report of the incident.

 

On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 8:16 p.m., NCSO Deputies responded to an assist complainant call at the 700 block of Project Rd in Garrison. The caller had information on some suspicious activity in the area.

 

On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 8:10 p.m., NCSO deputies responded to a business alarm at the 500 block of US 59 S. While in route, Deputies were disregarded per the alarm company.

 

On Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 7:12 a.m., a deputy spoke to a complainant located in the 15000 block of US Highway 59 N, via Public Service, regarding the complainant’s wife leaving him and taking some of his property. He was referred to the proper venue.

 

On Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 5:59 p.m., deputies responded to the 15000 block of hwy 59 n for a disturbance. A male and female had a disturbance in reference to the possibility of one cheating on the other. The female left the residence with the children to settle the dispute for the night.

 

On Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2:55 a.m., deputies responded to the 15000 block of Hwy 59 N for a criminal trespass complaint. The complainant requested a male subject leave his apartment. The male left and was given a courtesy ride to another location.

 

On Monday, May 28, 2018 at approximately 6:34 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to a dog bite victim. Upon speaking to the victim, it was found that the attack happened in Rusk county. Deputies forwarded the information to Rusk county.

 

On Monday, May 28, 2018 at 9:06 p.m., deputies responded to the 4600 block of CR 153 for an agency assist. Deputies located a vehicle at a local swim park that NPD was looking for. The information was relayed to NPD.
