Sheriff Kevin Lake Weekly Report
Deputy Jeremy Nagle was dispatched to a residence on CR 3334 in reference to a report of harassment. Upon arrival Deputy Nagle met with the complainant who stated that a male subject is harassing her and causing problems. Complainant advised that the subject has been making fake Facebook pages and even created a fake Craig's List page posting her name and address with vulgar information on it. Complainant stated that she reported the pages to Craig's List and Facebook and they have been taken down. Information has been forwarded to the DA's office.
Deputy Jeff Martin took a report of theft that occurred on CR 435. Complainant stated that someone stole a Stihl weed eater, 3 cans of paint, paint trays and brushes, shelf liners and a photo album from her father's residence. This case is being investigated.
Sgt. Jeff Ivy took a report of theft that occurred on FM 123. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto his company's property and stole several Balon ball valves. This case is under investigation.
Deputy Chris Dickerson was dispatched to CR 302 in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival Deputy Dickerson met with the complainant who stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto his property and busted the passenger side window out of his vehicle. Photographs were taken of the damage and the area was posted for extra patrol.
Deputy Phillip Grimes responded to CR 311 in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival Deputy Grimes met with the complainant who stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto the job site, broke a fuel pump and stole an unknown amount of fuel from the tank. This case is being investigated.
Deputy Jeremy Nagle was dispatched to a residence on CR 202 in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival Deputy Nagle met with the complainant who stated that he had two shotguns stolen from inside his residence. Complainant advised that there didn't appear to be any forced entry into the residence. The firearms have been entered into TCIC/NCIC as stolen.
Deputy Jeff Martin took a report of an assault that occurred. Complainant stated that when she arrived at her residence, her ex husband was parked outside waiting on her. Complainant advised that her ex-husband started an intense argument with her regarding her whereabouts. Complainant stated that the subject then threw her to the ground causing cuts, scratches and bruising to her back and feet. Complainant advised that when the subject left, she went to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. Photographs were taken of the complainant's injuries and information has been forwarded to the DA's office.
Deputy Robert Duncan took a report of theft that occurred. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) stole four Power Sonic 12 volt batteries from different location. This case is under investigation.
WEDNESDAY 10/2/19 While on patrol, Deputy Chris Dickerson observed a vehicle pull into
the parking lot of a closed business. Deputy Dickerson approached the vehicle and made contact with the male driver and female passenger. After speaking with both subjects, Deputy Dickerson requested and was given permission to search the vehicle. During the search, Deputy Dickerson located a bag of suspected methamphetamine located on the ground at the rear of the vehicle. The female subject advised that the male subject had thrown it out when he saw Deputy Dickerson approach. Both subjects denied ownership of the suspected methamphetamine. Both subjects were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. Subjects were transported to the Panola County Detention Center.
