RADIO REPORT 

FRIDAY 9/6/1

Sgt. Jeff Ivy took a report of burglary and criminal trespass that occurred on CR 108. Complainant stated that she received a call from a family member stating that her nephew was seen near her residence. Complainant advised that she has had problems with her nephew in the past and has a criminal trespass logged for him not to be on her property. Complainant stated that upon returning home she noticed that she was missing a Samsung tablet and some miscellaneous costume jewelry. This case is being investigated

SATURDAY 9/7/1

SUNDAY 9/8/19 

A Panola County Sheriff's deputy observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit on Hwy 149. The deputy attempted a stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle fled from the officer. The suspect continued to evade officers throughout Panola County and into Rusk County. The pursuit lasted approximately one hour. During the pursuit, the suspect struck one of the Panola County patrol units in an attempt to get away. After the vehicle came to a stop the suspect fled on foot. An immediate search of the area began and approximately two hours later the suspect was taken into the custody. The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault on a public servant, evading arrest with a vehicle, evading detention, reckless driving and some local warrants

9/9/19 

Deputy Chris Dickerson took a report of theft that occurred. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) stole his brass knuckles from his vehicle. This case is being investigated

Deputy Jeremy Nagle responded to a residence on CR 3333 in reference to an assault that had already occurred. Upon arrival Deputy Nagle met with the complainant who stated that she had been assaulted by her father's son. Complainant advised that the suspect "back handedher against her left eye and then repeatedly hit her with a closed fist in the back of her head. Deputy Nagle did observe some swelling to the complainant's eye. All information was forwarded to the DA's office

Deputy Chris Dickerson took a report of credit/debit card abuse. Complainant stated that she gave a female subject her card to get her something to eat from town. Complainant advised that the subject never came back with her card and she now has several unauthorized charges on her card. Complainant stated that she contacted the bank to cancel her card. All information has been forwarded to the DA's office

TUESDAY 9/10/19 

Deputy Phillip Grimes took a report of an assault that occurred. Complainant stated that she and her daughter were having an argument, when her daughter started kicking and swinging at her. This case is being investigated

Deputy Phillip Grimes responded to a report of an assault that had already occurred. Upon arrival Deputy Grimes met with the complainant who stated that her boyfriend began arguing with her over her diary. Complainant advised that the subject then grabbed her around her neck and began choking her. Complainant stated that the subject let her go and left the residence. Complainant advised that she wishes to pursue charges and does not want the subject back at her residence. Information was forwarded to the DA's office

Deputy Heather Bowen took a report of harassment that occurred. Complainant stated that she has been receiving continuous text messages from her ex-boyfriend. Complainant advised that the subject has already been criminally trespassed from her property and is not supposed to be contacting her. Information will be forwarded to the DA's office

Deputy Heather Green took a report of theft that occurred on CR 311. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto the property and stole 9 valves. This case is under investigation.

Deputy Chris Dickerson responded to a residence on CR 207 in reference to a report of an assault. Upon arrival Deputy Dickerson met with the complainant who stated that while at a friend's housea verbal altercation had taken place between a few different subjects. Complainant advised that he approached the subjects hoping to deescalate the situation when a female subject pun him in the mouth. Deputy Dickerson then made contact with the female subject who stated that she did punch the complainant, but that it was self-defense because he had hit her first. A record check through dispatch revealed that the female subject had a warrant. Deputy Dickerson placed the female subject under arrest and transported her to the Panola County Detention Center

Deputy Travis Curry took a report of burglary that occurred on CR 3032. Complainant stated that upon returning home he discovered that some unknown actor(s) had broken in. Complainant advised that the actor(s) stole his truck keys, a Samsung smart watch, Beats headphones and approximately $80 dollars in change. This case is being investigated and the area has been posted for extra patrol

MISCELLANEOUS: People have been receiving calls from a number that shows up as belonging to Hawthorn Funeral Home and requesting personal and identifying information. Hawthorn Funeral Home is not making these phone calls. It is a scam! As with all scams you are strongly advised NOT to give out any of your personal information
