Mt. Enterprise High School Theatre students participated in a clinic at Panola Junior College

 

     On Fri. Feb. 9, Mt. Enterprise High School Theatre students participated in a clinic at Panola Junior College in Carthage for critiques of their upcoming performance of By the Bog of Cats.

     After representing MHS at the University Interscholastic League's 2017 One Act Play State Meet last spring, Theatre students are in the process of preparing for this year's upcoming contests in March.

Texas A&M Expert: State Very Dry, Rain Relief May Be Months Away

John Nielsen-Gammon, professor of atmospheric sciences at Texas A&M and Texas State Climatologist, notes that Texans are suffering through some of the driest periods ever – parts of the Texas Panhandle have not received any measureable rain in at least 100 days.

“It’s extremely dry in the Panhandle, fire dangers are high and livestock such as cattle are beginning to feel stress,” Nielsen-Gammon explains.

DRT Meeting

The William Carroll Crawford Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet Saturday, February 10, at 10:00 AM at the Sam Samford Lodge in Center. For the program Gina Ferren will continue the story of the journey of one of her ancestor families to Texas.
