Rusk County Sheriff's Office Celebrates Promotion
We would like to inform you all of Bryan S. Pool’s recent promotion to Lieutenant over the Patrol Division here at the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office. A US Marine Corps veteran and a life-long resident of Rusk County, Lieutenant Pool recently joined our office after retiring from a twenty-two-year tenure at Henderson Police Department. Lt. Pool began his law enforcement career in corrections and served five years working within the State Prison System. Eleven years after being hired at the Henderson Police Department as a dispatcher, Lt. Pool advanced through the ranks to the Patrol Lieutenant position, where he served for twelve more years before retiring. Lt. Pool was with the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office for shortly over a year before being promoted to the position of Patrol Lieutenant. Lt. Pool’s leadership philosophy includes strong communication, effective training, and leading by example. Lt. Pool is a certified TCOLE instructor, was awarded Officer of the Year, and is a graduate of the prestigious Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas Leadership Command College.
