  NEWS FROM MT. ENTERPRISE, THE OLDEST TOWN IN RUSK COUNTY AND HOME OF THE WILDCATS
 
MorningStar Food Pantry’s distribution day is the 3rd Tuesday of the month, from 9-11a.m. Come see
what we are all about.  Location: 210 Railroad Ave. (US 259) in the Life and Learning Center, 1st Baptist
Church. 
On Sunday Evening, October 24th at 6:00p.m. the 1st Baptist Church will be hosting a “Movie Night for
for the Food Pantry”  There will be a movie for children and a movie for adults/youth in separate
locations in the building.  The price of admission:  a non-perishable, non-expired food item.
These items will be donated to the Food Pantry.  Canned goods should not be any larger than 29oz.
because of storage requirements.  Popcorn will be provided.  The movies will be hosted by the
Royal Ambassadors (RA) and Girls in Action (GA) classes.
 
Saturday Evening, October 31st, starting at 6:00p.m., 1st Baptist will host a Trunk (Truck) or Treat event.
Our members will decorate the trunk of a car or the back of a truck, park at the church and distribute
candy to Trick-or-Treaters as they come by.  Come join us and let us know which of the decorated
Trunks or Trucks is the best!
 
The Mt. Enterprise Library has a lot of programs to offer its patrons.  In October there is Pre-K Story Time on
Wednesday mornings at 9:30a.m.  For elementary levels there is also on Wednesdays, Assisted
Reading with Sherri starting at 3-4:45.  Teens are winding-up their Teen Read Week on Oct.
24th. Adults can participate in Ladies T-tap on Tuesdays starting at 12:15.  An event for all ages: 
A Movie in the Park, “Jurassic World” on Saturday, Oct. 24th starting at “dark-thirty”  Popcorn will be
provided.  Prior to the movie “Fabulous Finger Foods For Films” (Eat Veggie, Live Healthy, Be Happy)
will provide tasty finger foods.  This event will start at 5:30p.m.
Trick or Treat at the Mt. Enterprise Library starting at 6:30-8:30 on Sat. Oct. 31st.  “Be there or be square”.
November 2nd-November 13th has been declared “Amnesty Week” for “current” book fines.  Bring
a canned good(smaller than 29oz.) or a non-perishable food item to the library and overdue book fine will
be waived.  Call the Mt. Enterprise Library for detailed information.
 
Did you know that we have either a flea market or a thrift barn or both on weekends in Mt. Enterprise.
