Fright Write Night at Mt. Enterprise Elementary
Mount Enterprise Elementary hosted their first annual Fright Write Night on Thurs., Oct. 3. The entire elementary, including parents, were invited. The event was hosted for students to learn writing techniques that are enjoyable as well as a way of showing parents how they can help their children learn. One activity included a paper with three columns including character, theme, and setting. The student would scan a barcode and whatever information they were provided with, they would write a Halloween story.
4th Grade Teacher Angie Phillips, who lead the event, stated it was a night planned for students and their parents to come together to learn more about grammar and writing. Eighty-one students and their parents attended.
The school provided the students, family, and friends with food such as, hotdogs, chips, and drinks. The event was a great success.
