Garrison VFD responds to stranded motorist in flood waters

At approx. 2:22pm on Wednesday June 17th the Garrison FD responded to a report of a flooded out vehicle on CR 267 approx. 2 miles south of Garrison. Upon arrival Garrison FD personal made contact with the driver who was out of the vehicle and stated that while passing threw the flooded area his car had stalled out. The driver was ok but had to have a wrecker come and pull out his vehicle.

COOKS, JOHNNY RAY– 42 – ARRESTED BY – PANOLA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE DEPUTY PHILLIP GRIMES – CHARGES: ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY VIOLENCE, ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY, AND PURSUANT TO LOCAL WARRANTS/DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVALID, AND NO DRIVER’S LICENSE (WHEN UNLICENSED). SUBJECT WAS RELEASED ON $500(X2) PERSONAL RECOGNIZANCE BONDS, AND $2,500(X2) OWENS SURETY BONDS.

HWY 96 Shooter Arrested

Sheriff Willis Blackwell reports that on 6/18/2015 Shelby County Sheriff's Office arrested Marcus Hill 33 year old black male of Shelbyville for one charge of aggravated assault with deadly weapon F-1 and aggravated assault with deadly weapon F-2. JP 1 Maxi Eaves set bonds at $75,000 for each charge.
