Gary ISD's 12th Annual Festival of Lights Inbox

Gary ISD's Student Council would like to announce our 12th Annual Festival of Lights to be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 9am to 2pm at Gary High School.  Food and craft booths will be available for the public's enjoyment, as well as local LIVE entertainment on the Christmas Stage!  Our Festival also offers an extraordinary Pet Parade and exciting Chili Cook-Off event!  We still have booth spaces available!  Please contact Brooke Cope at 903-685-2291 to reserve your booth.  *Not open to outside food vendors at this time.  We are also still taking Chili Cook-Off entries!   In addition to the festivities in the High School, don't miss our breathtaking light display!
As we have done each year, The Gary ISD Student Council will kick off the "Christmas Season" by decorating the Gary City Square.  Thousands of twinkling lights and 12 eight foot angels line the square!  Each of these beautiful angels have been donated in "honor of" or in "memory of" a loved one.  Christmas scenes and a life size Nativity scene will light up the Gary City Square at approximately 4 pm on the day of the Festival and be on display for surrounding communities to enjoy through early January 2020.  All money raised for the light display has been given over the years as generous donations from supporters of the Gary ISD Student Council in a tremendous effort to keep the tradition going.  If you would like to make a monetary contribution to help with the cost of our beautiful light display, please send donations made payable to Gary ISD Student Council, 132 Bobcat Trail, Gary, TX  75643.  We hope you'll come on down and spend your day with us at the Gary Festival of Lights!
