Gary ISD holds Fall Festival

By Cara Coligan
Gary ISD hosted their annual Fall Festival on October 30, 2015. The festival is ran by the students each year to help fundraise for each grades senior trip. The festival was kicked off with a “spook contest,” in which young children showed off their Halloween costumes in hopes of winning first place. Following that was the Queens Contest, which is between the seventh grade through the eleventh grade. The class who wins is the grade that raised the most money from morning sales and raffle tickets earlier in the week. The eleventh grade won this award, and they were represented by Blake Cranford and Cara Coligan. Each class then began the Festival events. Some of the different activities included a haunted trail, a game room, and a cake walk. People from all the surrounding communities came to enjoy the festival.
