UPDATE: Subject arrested in Shelby County.

On November 23, 2015 at approximately 22:17 hours, patrol units from the Rusk County Sheriff's Office responded to an altercation on CR 3281, where there were reports of shots fired and one victim wounded. Upon their arrival a male victim was found to be deceased on the scene from apparent gunshot wounds. Witness reports advised that the suspect had fled the scene in a red 1995 Pontiac Firebird headed southy. The vehicle was later found abandoned near CR 3285 in Rusk County.

Garrison Blood Drive

November 5, 2013, Collin Williams and Madison Rambin were in an accident that claimed both their lives after the vehicle they were in hydroplaned. Lives were changed that day. Amber Lockhart and myself wanted to help Madison's mom, Shawn Rambin, which was a long time friend and classmate. After talking, we decided that we would do a blood drive to honor Collin Williams and Madison Rambin. Madison was a huge advocate for blood donation. What better way to honor her.

Garrison FFAheaded to the state LDE contest

Garrison FFA's Public Relations team is headed to the state LDE contest at Sam Houston state university in Huntsville, TX on December 4 & 5. This is Garrison's second time to qualify for the state contest in this event. They have qualified to make the top 20 teams in the state of Texas for this event with hopes of advancing to the final round and place in the top ten FFA chapters for the Public Relations event.

Garrison ends season with 5-6 mark

After a hard fought game at Palestine High School last Friday, the Franklin Lions varsity football team are now the District 11 3A bi-district champs after defeating the Garrison Bulldogs by a score of 45-21. They will now move on to the Area playoff round and face the Clifton Cubs. Franklin boosted their season record to 11-0.
