Timpson Students Accepted to Summer Academy

Students Accepted to Summer Academy - Timpson High School students Jamie Moore and Chris Piro were recently notified that they have been accepted into the United States Marine Corps Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy July 20-26.  The academy is a strategic initiative designed to attract our nation’s top performing high school students by offering a one-week leadership program in the Washington, D.C.

Fatal traffic accident in Timpson Sunday afternoon

There were two traffic accidents at the same intersection of HWY 84 and HWY 59 in Timpson over the weekend.  The accident on Sunday afternoon claimed the life of the driver of a small passenger car that was hit by an 18-wheeler after "the car ran the stop sign and pulled out right in front of the diesel and there was no way the truck could stop", stated an eye witness to the accident.
