TIMPSON - Debra Smith announces candidacy for Mayor

On February 18th I, Debra Pate Smith, submitted my application to run for the mayor of Timpson, Texas. Many of you may wonder why I am running for office, when just 2 short months ago I resigned. Well it is quite simple – I loved being the mayor of Timpson and didn’t shy away from long hours, difficult decisions or a few calls every now and then when someone wasn’t happy with one of those decisions.

Cub Pack 244 and Boy Scout Troop 244 participated in Scout Sunday Activities

Cub Pack 244 and Boy Scout Troop 244 participated in Scout Sunday Activities on Feb 21, 2016 at their sponsoring organization,  New Hope Baptist, Gary, TX. The boys participated in the presentation of the American Flag, Christian Flag and the BIBLE. They also quoted the Scout Law as Scoutmaster Ken Skinner read scripture for each of the 12 parts of the Scout Law.
