This week we are going to talk about the power of the tongue, or spoken word. How often do we truly stop and think just how powerful our words are to others around us. They could lift someone up or tear them down. The Bible tells us that our words have the power of life and death.
Proverbs 18:21 reads, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."
I like to hear true stories about dumb criminals.
Punxsutawney, Pa., Police say an elderly woman being robbed in a parking lot shouted, "There's the police!" and the spooked suspect dropped his gun and ran away. The woman kicks the gun under her vehicle which turned out only to shoot BBs.

I was going through a really rough time in my life a few years ago and was trying to make sense of all the things that were happening. I wondered why these things were happening to me. Every time I turned around it seemed like I was getting hit from a different angle with something. Like everyone else going through times like this, I had questions for God. Like; Why is all of this chaos taking place in my life? and; Where are you God?
