“Say it isn’t so, Bruce!!!”

Boy was I proud to be an American.  There he was waving the American flag in a victory lap for his almost complete domination of the 1976 Montreal Olympics.  Yep, Bruce Jenner was the idol of mocho America that reflected a ‘take-that/we-can-do-it’ spirit that permeated track and field sport ever since.  His pleasant boyish personality aligned nicely with his masculine mannerisms that just made him a gravity attraction in any room he stood in.

We had another amazing service at Ramah. We had two young men saved Sunday morning, Trevor Lampley and Cord McDonald will be baptized next Sunday night. Our youth group is really growing, and we couldn't be more proud.

Getting on Satan’s Nerves

 

Have you ever had one of those days to where it seems like that old devil is just really testing you and focusing all of his energy on you?  I am sure we all have.  That is his job, and he is very good at it.  This week, I want to talk to you about getting on Satan's nerves instead of him getting on ours all of the time.

Alibates Flint Quarries: Part 1

“Here’s a good example of a trade blank,” says National Park Ranger Marten Schmitz, as he bends down to retrieve a palm sized chunk of Alibates (pronounced AL-eh-bates) flint rock from the dried shortgrass prairie.  The flint is a beautifully colored red and white and as Schmitz explains, was prized as a currency for people who lived in this region as far back as 13,000 years ago.
