Two East Texas Men Arrested for Theft of Livestock
Center, Texas- Two East Texas men were arrested on Nov. 4 and Nov. 13 and charged with felony theft of livestock after stealing three cows from a Carthage, Texas rancher.
The following cases were disposed of in the Shelby County Court on the November Docket. Judge Allison Harbison was the presiding judge and County Attorney Gary Rholes represented the State.
Craig Beene- Criminal Trespass- Class B- $600.00 fine, $262.00 court cost, 39 days Shelby County Jail.
Due to an investigation into illegal gambling, Detective Stephen Stroud with the Center Police Department executed a Search and Seizure Warrant on the Loop 500 Convenience store on 11/13/2015. Approximately $170,000.00 in cash and gambling machines were seized from the alleged illegal activities. Virendra Patel, Dipa Patel, and Angel Gonzalez were arrested for Engaging in Criminal Activity, Keeping a Gambling Place, Promotion of Gambling and Possession of Gambling Devises.
