Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center held, a sold-out, 5th Annual Princess Ball at the Windham Civic Center

On February 27th, the Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center held the 5th Annual Princess Ball at the Windham Civic Center. Tickets to this event “sold out” early as it has become quite the event in Shelby County. Young ladies between the age of 3 and 13 were escorted to the ball by an adult family member.

Easter egg hunt

Holiday Nursing Center will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m. for children 7 and under. There will be a bounce house and the Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet the kids!

How to split a bee hive

Pineywoods Beekeepers Association President Mike Bordelon, who owns and operates Heavenly Honey Apiary on Toledo Bend Lake at Huxley, demonstrated "How to Split a Bee Hive" to members of the Deep East Texas Beekeepers at their March 1 meeting in San Augustine.
