Shelby Sheriff's Office seeking whereabouts of Norman Wood.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) is seeking the whereabouts of Norman Louis Wood. Wood is described as a white male, 5'9, 160 pounds, 47 years of age with brown hair and green eyes. His last know location of residence was the area of Highway 84 in Joaquin.
Wood is wanted by the SCSO for failure to register as a sex offender.

Center’s Boy’s Cross Country Team placed Fourth in the regional meet

Center’s Boy’s Cross Country Team placed Fourth in the regional meet held in Huntsville yesterday.  This placing qualifies them for the State Meet to be held in Round Rock in two weeks.  Giovanni Angel placed Seventh overall.

 

Member of the team are Giovani Angel, Arnol Escobedo, Isidro Lopez, Antonio Chavez, Ruben Soto, Juan Ramirez, Daniel Chavez, and Martin Soto.

Holiday Nursing Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off

Holiday Nursing Center residents, staff and guests enjoyed a Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off on Tuesday, October 20. A hayride was a treat for young and old alike. The cook-off competition was stiff with many pots of delicious chili entered. Winners of the competition were Leigh Porterfield, first place; Pam Vance, second place; and Irada Oates, third place.

'Riders beat Tatum, head to showdown with Atlanta

The Center Roughriders football team has undoubtably faced their easiest two District 6 Class 4A opponents and have beaten, Spring Hill 56-10, two weeks ago, and defeated Tatum 42-7 last Friday. They are now 2-0 in conference play and boast a 6-1 overall record. Center hasn’t lost a game since Week 1 when they lost to Waskom at home by a 34-22 margin. The ‘Riders are currently on a six-game winning streak.
