Center Garden Club installs new officers for 2019 - 2020

Center Garden Club met for a luncheon, a special Mother’s Day tribute, and an officer installation on May 15 in the home of Carolyn Bounds.  The following officers were installed by a former Club President Carolyn Bounds:  President, Carole Chance; FIrst Vice President, Colleen Doggett; Second Vice President, Pam Sykes; Secretary, Robbie Kerr; Treasurer, Cherry Jones; Librarian, Lisa Albers; and Parliamentarian, Linda Bordelon.

Outgoing President, Deborah Chadwick, installed the officers, presenting each new officer with a chocolate candy bar representing an aspect of each position. The club is the oldest continuously-operating woman's club in Center, having been originally organized in 1896. The members have selected from a list of 50 great books to present when it is their turn. Each member chooses a date both as a presenter of their book and as a hostess, providing refreshments
