Center City Council adopts city limits map
The Center City Council adopted a new city limits map at its regular meeting of Monday, January 25, 2016. This is done annually, but the 2016 map corrects some errors due to miscommunication of information between the Appraisal District and the City staff.
Azimuth Forestry completed an evaluation and made recommendations pertaining to properties owned by the City for current value, harvesting options and future management the various locations: Center Airport, Center Lake, and Lake Pinkston.
The City Council also approved the disposal of a surplus vehicle to San Augustine Police Department.
A request by Templo Principe De Paz Church for use of the Center square parking lot from April 22 to April 24 was approved, with the proviso that the north side of the square (the Farmers Bank side) be used for the days’ activities. The church has agreed to control volume and minimize disturbances.
The open meeting then adjourned for a meeting of the Council in executive session. When the Council reconvened in open session, there was no vote taken.
