BRADLEY ALLEN – PRECINCT 4 INCUMBENT SEEKS RE-ELECTION
I am Bradley Allen and I am asking for your vote for County Commissioner Precinct 4. I have served as your commissioner since September 2006 and I appreciate the trust and confidence you have given me over the last 11 years. I have tried my best to represent you and your interests in all of my decisions. I have met and become friends with many people through working as your commissioner that have enriched my life and I am grateful for that opportunity.
When I took office in September 2006, our Precinct 4 did not have much to work with. We only had one maintainer that was operational. We had a small 8- yard dump truck and one loader. We had a good brush cutter, that has been maintained and is still used today. Our fund balance was only $22, 000.
Through hard work and good management, we now have 5 maintainers, two 24-yard belly dump trucks, a new Komatsu loader, a back hoe, a packer, the original 8 yard dump truck has been maintained and is still being used. We also have a grinder, that we share with Pct 3, that is used to grind up the roadways to re-surface roads. Working with Pct 3 has proved to be beneficial for both precincts. We also have a fund balance of $957,000. Some of this money has been earmarked to buy an oil sand mill in partnership with Pct 3. We will buy it together to share the cost and provide oil roads for both Precincts 3 and 4. This will be a great benefit for us all. Over the last several years, I have been working to white rock many of our Pct 4 roads. The white rock will be a great base for oil sand black top application.
I am proud of the accomplishments that we have made over the last 11 years. I see great things in the future for Pct 4. I have diligently worked to improve our equipment and road conditions, while keeping a healthy fund balance so we can take advantage of opportunities like the up-coming purchase of the oil sand mill.
While we are known as "road commissioners", the duties of commissioners are more than just keeping up the roads. I have attended county commissioners’ meetings and always voted on issues with my constituents in mind. I work for YOU, the people of Precinct 4! I have no ax to grind with anyone. I simply want to continue the practices and work that I have done for the past 11 years and look forward to more improvements.
Please remember to go vote. Call your neighbors and friends and remind them to vote. Thank you for your consideration. Early Voting ends Friday, March 2nd – Polls open 7am Tuesday, March 6th and close at 7pm.
