Roughriders Wrangles Victory from Tatum After Back-And-Forth Game

The Roughriders and Tatum went head-to-head in an exciting back-and-forth game that saw the Roughriders coming away with a 10-9 victory. The game was tied at nine with the Roughriders batting in the top of the seventh when Zac Smith doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.  Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Roughriders collected 11 hits and Tatum had ten.  The Roughriders took an early lead in the second inning. Chandler Jones drew a walk, scoring one run.  Tatum knotted the game up at nine in the bottom of the sixth inning. #2 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.  The Roughriders put up four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Smith and Colton Crawford and a sac fly by Jake Hanson.  Tatum scored four runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by Tatum was led by #7, #8, and #9, all knocking in runs in the inning.  Gabrial Rebollar led the Roughriders to victory on the hill. He surrendered two runs on three hits over three innings, striking out two and walking zero. Levi Rodriquez threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.  #7 took the loss for Tatum. He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out one.  Nathan Myers started the game for the Roughriders. He surrendered five runs on five hits over two innings, striking out two and walking zero #9 started the game for Tatum. He went three and a third innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out one.  The Roughriders totaled 11 hits in the game. Smith, Jones, Crawford, and Jase Bird each collected multiple hits for Roughriders. Bird, Crawford, Jones, and Smith each collected two hits to lead the Roughriders.  Tatum saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. #2, #8, #4, and #9 all had multiple hits for Tatum.
