Friday May 3rd @ center HS 7:00pm 

Saturday if needed @ Rusk HS 2:00pm


Ticket Prices $5 Adults, $3 students and $2 seniors

Girls Track

The following girls qualified for the Region III 4A meet at Sam Houston State University on Friday and Saturday:


4 X 100 and the 4 X 200 relays were area Runner-up 

4x100: Americus Sparks, Ja'Kayla Parks, Shakaidria Hubbard, Patience Cherry, Malaishia Cartwright

4x200: Malaishia Cartwright, Patience Cherry, Shakaidria Hubbard, Ja'Kayla Parks, Americus Sparks

4 X 400 meter relay team is Area Champions.  

4x400: Allison Steuver, Mahalia Ratcliff, Cathy Whisenant, Patience Cherry, Ja'Kayla Parks, Americus Sparks

Alex Patton also qualified for the Regional Meet in shotput. Malashia Cartwright will participate in 200 meters. 


Boys Track


Jesus Gonzalez and Jakerrion Watson will participate at the Region III 4A meet at Sam Houston State University on Friday and Saturday as well. Jesus will compete in the 2-mile and 3200. Jakerrion Watson will compete in the long jump. 



Out of the 12 Riders who advanced to the Regional tournament, 6 return with medals and 3 will advance to the State Meet.


Boys Singles:  Senior Juan Gonzalez - 2nd place (State Qualifier)

Boys Doubles:  Seniors Keaton Watlington and Mauricio Rojas-Solis - 2nd place (State Qualifiers)

Girls Singles:  Junior Keelan Williams - 3rd place

Mixed Doubles:  Juniors Alec Dykes and Caroline Scull - 3rd place

Alec Dykes attended the regional golf tournament yesterday. He tied for 22nd out of 83 total golfers. He did not qualify for state tournament but competed well on a tough course. Alec shot a 88 in the first round while playing through tough rainy conditions, Alec’s improved by 3 strokes on his second round shooting a 85. Alec played hard and represented his school and district very well.
