Riders of the Week: February 6-10

Itzel Diaz has been chosen by Adam Ramirez for Rider of the Week. As of now, Itzel wants to study criminal justice and hopefully become a crime scene investigator. She says, "I find it very interesting to work as a CSI because you are involved in many mysteries." Her role model is her father, Israel because he works very hard to provide everything that Itzel and her brother need. Itzel loves watching horror movies and her favorite book is, Heart of Evil by Heather Graham. For fun, she loves to hang out with her friends, Oscar Vazquez and Selena Jaimes. She loves to play the baritone and she enjoys taking time to practice her music in order to become a better player. Mr. Ramirez chose Itzel because of her "hard-work and dedication in class. She is always giving 100% of effort with a smile on her face. I believe she will do the same with her future career."

 

Alberto Huichapa has been chosen for Rider of the Week by Coach Adair. Alberto wants to serve in the Navy as a mass communication specialist because he loves to cover stories and take pictures. He says the thought of travelling while serving his country sounds overwhelming. For fun, Alberto likes to play soccer and video games with his little brother. He also likes to listen to music and spend time on social media. (He suggests following him on snapchat: @betio99) Coach Adair says, "Alberto is a great student. He is the kind of student/athlete that represents CHS in such a positive manner. Alberto is always positive and upbeat and I enjoy having him in class."

 

Ryleigh Youngblood has been chosen for Rider of the week by Mrs.Sanford. Her favorite movie is The Gremlins because she loves how cute Gizmo is. Her role model is her family, because they provide her with what she needs. She wants to play softball in college and study to be a nurse because she wants to take care of people. She loves to play outside with family. She enjoys playing softball and playing with her dogs. Ms. Sanford says, "Ryleigh is an extremely hard worker who always does her best. She is helpful and caring to other classmates."

 

Octavio Hernandez has been chosen for Rider of the Week by Ms. Sanford. His favorite movie is The Avengers. His role model is his mom because she always works hard. He wants to be a police officer when he grows up so he can help protect people. Octavio loves to play soccer outside with friends. Ms. Sanford says, "Octavio is a hard worker, and is never afraid to try something new. He is kind to his fellow classmates and is an absolute joy to teach.”

 

Bodrick Hubbard has been chosen for Rider of the Week by Ms. Penner. His role model is his Dad because he works really hard but finds the time to spend with Bodrick. Bodrick really wants to grow up to be a Veterinarian so that he can help animals not get sick. He loves to play baseball with his cousins when he gets home. Bodrick's I4 teacher says, "Bodrick is a fine example of a Rider of the Week because he tries his hardest on everything, is kind and respectful to others and is a very responsible young man. Bodrick has a desire to learn and the quality makes him a joy to teach. He is the type of friend to others that can always be counted on to make good choices."

 

Jazmin Bennett has been chosen for Rider of the Week by Ms. Chisenhall. Her mom is her role model because she always helps others and always goes out of her way to set that example for Jazmin. Jazmin really wants to grow up to be a Nurse so she can help other people. She loves to jump with her sister and cousin on her trampoline when she gets home. Mrs.Chisenhall says, "Jazmin is the kind of student that almost goes unnoticed as she quietly goes about her business, careful to do everything that is asked of her. Jazmin has a kind spirit that follows directions the first time given and does not have a complaining bone in her body. Jazmin speaks softly and kindly to everyone she comes in contact with. Her quality of character does not go unnoticed!"

 

MaKayla Bown has been chosen for Rider of the Week by Ms. Fitzgerald. Her favorite movie is Cinderella and for fun she likes to play basketball and play outside. Her role model is her mom because she works very hard and does a great job of taking care of her. When she grows up she wants to be a vet so she can take care of other animals. MaKayla's teacher said, "I choose MaKayla as Rider of the Week because she always does her best and helps others."

 

Olivia Ortega has been chosen for Rider of the Week by Mrs. Hamlin. Her favorite movie is Frozen and for fun she likes to play with her Play-Doh and Barbies. Her role model is her mom because she loves her mom and she makes things for and reads to Olivia. When she grows up Olivia wants to be a vet because she loves animals and she wants to take care of them. Olivia's teacher said, "Olivia is very sweet, friendly, respectful, smart, and hard working. She is a joy to have in class."

 

Jakevin Robinson has been chosen for Rider of the Week by Melissa Munoz. His favorite book is Strikeout Kings and for fun he likes to play

basketball with his friends and family. His role model is his PaPa because he buys Jakevin whatever he wants and he takes good care of him. When he grows up, Jakevin wants to be a famous NBA star for the Golden State Warriors. His teacher said, "Jakevin is always prepared for class, helps out his classmates, and is very organized. He even goes out of his way to organize the class supplies. He spends time wisely and values learning. He is calm, hardworking, and a positive role model for his classmates."

 

Ashlynn Midkiff has also been chosen for Rider of the Week by Melissa Munoz. Her favorite movie is Trollz and for fun she likes to do flips and tumble. Her role model is her Paw Paw because he is funny and nice. When she grows up Ashlynn wants to be a teacher because they get to help kids. Mrs. Munoz said, "Ashlynn is very conscious of her work and is not afraid to challenge herself when it comes to writing. She excelled in her classes and also participated in UIL spelling. I look forward to seeing her accomplish great achievements in her future.
